Abyssal Festival 2024

Abyssal Makes the Square.Our fourth edition is the result of some major changes. After the loss of our previous homestead (the Firehouse) we took stock and recalibrated bigwise. We're thrilled to host this year's festival at Papillon, a converted church in Southampton city centre, which can host over double our previous capacity and is fully equipped to handle a day of doomination.This year's lineup has embiggened to match our new site - a smorgasbord of sludge, doom, post-metal and drone with some of the country's top acts alongside some excellent newer contenders. Entrancing riffs, gut-shaking frequencies and wild turns of musicality are yours for the embracing.
