VISIT SOUTHAMPTON PRIZE DRAW TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions together with any specific rules apply to prize draws featuring on any Visit Southampton publications or on any Visit Southampton internet site unless otherwise expressly stated. By entering a prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Qualifying Entrants

  • To qualify to enter the prize draw you must be resident in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and/or the Isle of Man.
  • Employees of Visit Southampton or any associated company of Visit Southampton and their immediate families, persons connected with the prize draw i.e. prize sponsors are not eligible to enter the prize draw.
  • By entering the prize draw, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Visit Southampton reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
  • Visit Southampton assumes that by entering the prize draw that you are aged 18 or over.
  • Visit Southampton reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the terms and conditions.

Competition Entries

  • Only one entry per person per prize draw is allowed and any entrant who enters more than the permitted maximum will be disqualified.
  • Where a winner has been selected and Visit Southampton discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe the winner has made more than one entry, Visit Southampton reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  • Competition entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date specified on the prize draw notice. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry.

Prizes

  • Prize winners will be chosen at random from all qualifying entries within 7 days of the closing date specified in the prize draw notice.
  • In all matters, the decision of the winner shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  • Prize winners will be notified in the manner and within the time specified on the prize draw notice.
  • Claims for prizes must be made in the manner and within the time specified on the prize draw.
  • Failure to claim a prize within this time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

Event Submissions Terms & Conditions

Visit Southampton Events.

Visit Southampton will promote events/activities uploaded by the public if the Terms and Conditions are adhered to as follows:

  • Only events/activities physically taking place at venues within the administrative boundary of Southampton will be considered for approval.
  • Any images and information uploaded must have the copyright holder’s permission.
  • Image minimum size 555px (w) x 366px (h). Maximum file size 2MB
  • Compulsory information fields on the submission form must be adhered to.
  • Events must be submitted 14 days before the event takes place.
  • The submitter is responsible for notifying us of any changes and amendments to an event/activity and accepts overall responsibility for the listing. Contact events@datathistle.com for any amendments to your event.
  • We operate an appropriate content policy. Any event submitted that contains unacceptable content will be rejected. Unacceptable content includes (but is not limited to) that which:
    - Does not conform to UK, European and international legislation - for example copyright and data protection law
    - Would be considered offensive or threatening

Categories
Please ensure that the category/categories that you chose for your event are representative of the offer.

An event is classified as a planned public or social occurrence that is not classified as a Course/Class or Service (see below). Main categories for events are as follows: Books; Charity; Clubs; Comedy; Community; Conferences; Dance; Days out; Festival; Film; Kids; LGBT; Music; Sport; Talks & Lectures; Theatre; Visual Art.

A community event is classified as events or activities targeted specifically at local residents to promote community involvement and participation.

A service or support group is classified as a support resource.

A course or class is classified as something that takes place over a period of time, an opportunity of learning and or for the participant’s personal gain.

Use of your event submission
By submitting an event/activity, you give the right for future use by Visit Southampton, i.e through event feeds, social media etc.
