Twilight tours are an offer allowing participants to enjoy a douse of history after work hours mid-week.During the medieval period Southampton famously grew rich on its trade in wool. But why was wool so important? Why did it pass through Southampton and just who were the people getting rich? Discover the answers to these and many other questions in this new walking tour led by local historian Andy Skinner exploring the wonderful world of wool and Southampton. The tour will begin in St Michael’s Square (outside Tudor House) and should last approximately 90 minutes. Regrettably this tour is unsuitable for people with mobility concerns and includes steps and uneven surfaces throughout. This tour may be cancelled or postponed at short notice in bad weather.Tickets are £8, £10 or £12 per person. Our prices are based on helping as many people to access our tours as possible. The more you choose to pay, the more people will be able to come and enjoy the same excellent programme of informative and entertaining talks. We thank you for any additional support you are able to offer us.CANCELLATIONSIn the unlikely event of our having to cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
