Gary Crosby & Denys Baptiste Quartet

Gary Crosby OBE is a bassist, band leader and co-founder of Tomorrow’s Warriors. Denys Baptiste is a Mercury Prize nominee and MOBO award winning saxophonist. They are joined tonight by Sultan Stevenson (piano), and Rod Youngs (drums). Together, they mark 60 years since Coltrane’s masterpiece was released.Gary Crosby writes:‘Hearing ‘A Love Supreme’ for the first time was a life-changing moment for me as a young musician. There were so many complexities in the compositions and the arrangements, but the groove and directness were real.
