Turner Sims, in association with Southampton Jazz Club, present saxophonist, composer and improviser Dee Byrne.Dee Byrne pushes the boundaries of jazz and experimental music. Her latest Whirlwind release Outlines features her original compositions, with plenty of space for improvisation. The music evolved from a creative experiment: introducing visual art into her composition practice. Out of this, short musical sketches emerged that stood alone as artistic statements. These short statements are ‘Outlines’ – a springboard for this dynamic ensemble to go in new, exciting directions every time.
