We are excited to inform you about the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations scheduled for Saturday 1st February 2025 at Guildhall Square (and Westquay Shopping Centre) as well as Saturday 15th February 2025 at Guildhall Square (and Above Bar Street).
1) Event on Saturday 1st Feb 2025  
Guildhall Square Celebration
Time: 10:30am – 11:30pm
Location: Guildhall Square
Highlight: Our festivities in Guildhall Square will feature captivating Dragon Dance and Lion Dance performances, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Parade from Guildhall Square to Westquay Shopping Centre: 11:30am – 12pm
Westquay Shopping Centre Celebration
Time: 12:00pm – 4:00pm
Location: Inside Westquay Shopping Centre
Activities: The celebrations inside Westquay Shopping Centre will continue with more exciting cultural performances, traditional music, dance, and interactive activities for residents and visitors alike.

2) Event on Saturday 15th Feb 2025
Guildhall Square Celebration
Time: 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Location: Guildhall Square
Highlight: Our festivities in Guildhall Square will feature captivating Dragon Dance, Lion Dance, Martial Arts, Taichi and drumming performances, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Parade from Guildhall Square to Westquay Shopping Centre entrance along Above Bar Street and then back to Guildhall Square via Houndwell Park and Palmerston Park: 3:30pm – 4:15pm
Traffic and Parking Considerations: Please be aware that there might be increased foot traffic and potential road closures around Guildhall Square during the event. We recommend planning your travel accordingly and utilising alternative routes if needed.

The Chinese New Year Celebrations 2025 will take place on the Guildhall Square and inside the MAST theatre on Saturday 8th February 2025. We are taking this opportunity to inform you that the event will take on the Guildhall Square in your neighbourhood and would like to invite you to participate in the action. You are welcome to be a part of the event by joining our free workshops and activities and celebrate the beginning of a new lunar year with your fellow citizens.
