Easter Good Friday Church Service 18 April

Message to residents and businesses around Guildhall Square

Here is a message from the event organisers, City Life Church.

We wish to inform you of an event that will be taking place in Guildhall Square on (Good) Friday 18th April between the hours of 12noon and 1.30pm. This is to reassure you of the care that we are taking to respect local businesses and residents, and to give you a contact detail for any follow-up questions that you may have.

The event will be an Easter Good Friday church service that is being organised by a number of the key churches around the City. The content will involve a number of musical numbers, a short talk and some entertainment. We are not anticipating huge crowds around the square and it will remain open for anyone to walk through. The content for the event will happen on a raised trailer stage that will be driving into Guildhall Square early on Friday morning to setup. It will be clear by late afternoon on Friday evening.
Key points of reassurance:
• We are not anticipating any problem but stewards, security and first aid will be on-hand.
• The sound system will not be overly intrusive or interfering.
• There will be no lighting.
• An experienced event management company is involved that has done many events within the square previously and knows the venue well.
• No access to businesses will be blocked and no roads closed.

Contact details:
If you have any further questions or issues, then please do not hesitate to contact paulw@citylife.org.uk or call on 07387 108 669

We hope that this reassures you that all appropriate steps are being taken to minimise any inconvenience however and we would also like to invite you along to the event.
