A message from the Organisers S&D Leisure

We’re pleased to announce the return of the annual Southampton Christmas Market, a much-loved event that has supported local businesses, boosted our economy, and attracted visitors for over 15 years. Organised by S&D Leisure, this year’s market will run from Friday, 15th November 2024, to Sunday, 5th January 2025.
As in previous years, the Christmas Market will extend to Guildhall Square, where selected fairground attractions, including a Big Wheel, will be located, creating a lively festive experience similar to last year’s. Please find the full opening times for the market and Guildhall Square attractions below:
Christmas Market Opening Times:
• Monday to Wednesday: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm
• Thursday to Saturday: 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
• Sunday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Tuesday, 31st December (New Year’s Eve): 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Wednesday, 25th December (Christmas Day): Closed
Guildhall Square Attractions Opening Times:
• Monday to Thursday: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm
• Friday & Saturday: 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
• Sunday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Tuesday, 31st December (New Year’s Eve): 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Wednesday, 25th December (Christmas Day): Closed
Set-Up and Dismantling:
The Christmas Market set-up in Guildhall Square will begin on Sunday, 10th November, at 4:00 pm. Dismantling will start on Sunday, 5th January 2025, with completion expected by Friday, 10th January 2025. Set-up and dismantling activities will generally occur between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, with any work outside these hours requiring approval from Southampton City Council.
Minimising Disruption:
S&D Leisure is working closely with Southampton City Council and other partners to minimise disruption to residents and businesses. Noise levels will be carefully monitored, and we encourage you to reach out with any concerns, which we will address promptly and professionally.
