Unexpected Harmonies Voice  Brass

Join soprano Imogen Baker, trombonist James Druce, and pianist Colin Druce for a unique and uplifting evening of music featuring unexpected pairings of voice, brass, and keyboard. The programme will explore a wide range of musical styles, from opera and classical lieder to jazz, popular song, and instrumental solos showcasing the artistry and versatility of three professional musicians from the UK.Imogen Baker is a British lyric coloratura soprano currently studying at the Swiss Opera Studio in Biel, Switzerland. Known for her technical agility and captivating stage presence, her operatic repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary works. Her recent and upcoming roles include Zerbinetta in Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos, Laurette in Bizets Le Docteur Miracle, and Papagena in Mozarts Die Zauberflte. Alongside her operatic career, Imogen has performed in prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall and the BBC Proms. She is a former chorister at Winchester Cathedral and currently works as Audience & Engagement Manager for Waterperry Opera Festival.James Druce is a professional trombonist, choral singer, and teacher, with performance credits including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, English National Ballet, and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. A passionate chamber musician and arranger, James also sings with professional choirs in London and is the Director of Chapel Choir at Reading School.Colin Druce is a highly respected concert organist, pianist, and accompanist, performing regularly at leading UK venues and abroad. His experience spans solo recitals, chamber music, and large-scale choral works. Colin is in high demand as a rehearsal accompanist, repetiteur, and teacher, and is a familiar face at festivals, including the International Church Choir Festival at Coventry Cathedral.The concert will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, including a 20-minute interval where complimentary wine and soft drinks will be served. There is parking available on-site, along with toilet facilities. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an induction loop, but please note that there are no accessible toilets.The concert will begin at 7:00 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 pm.Tickets are 15 for adults and 11 for under 16s.
