The eight-date tour, starting on 28 April, sees Tom return to intimate venues to preview the first songwriting of the former Kasabian singer’s career. Meighan has been teasing snippets of new music on Instagram, and fans will be able to hear the full songs at these shows. He will also be performing some of the era-defining classics which made his name.Anyone expecting Tom to repeat the style of his old band will be stunned by where the singer is taking his own music. The autobiographical semi-acoustic ballad was released as a free download, rather than via traditional streaming services, to raise awareness of mental health issues. As well as showing fresh lyrical depth, ‘Would You Mind’ is as anthemic as anything in Tom’s past.
