A study day in which contributors will speak about Saxon and Medieval Southampton, Winchester and sites further afield. It is based on a new book: ‘Producers, Traders and Consumers in Urban Societies in Southern Britain and Europe”. The book is dedicated to Mark Brisbane. Mark managed the Southampton City Council Archaeology unit and curated the Museum of Archaeology from 1978 to1989.
