'With out Music, Life would be a blank to me Emma This performance celebrates one of Austen's favourite composers: Southampton's own Charles Dibdin. Talented local folk musician Jeff Henry brings to life the Dibdin songs that Austen loved and sang, while historian Nicola Pritchard-Pink shares insights into Austen's song collection, revealing what performing Dibdin's lively show songs at home might have been like for this famous author. There will also be the opportunity to view the memorials to Naval Admirals, known to the Austens, in the church.
