Bees & Honey Weekend

A two-day celebration of honeybees and all things honeybee related. Get the whole family, immersed in the fascinating world of Apis Mellifera.Activities include wax candle rolling and candle dipping; take away your creations. Explore a virtual hive and see just how and where a bee colony thrives. See live bees through a glass window and identify her majesty, the Queen. Complete an interactive activity book and win a smart sew-on bee badge. Watch through a protective mesh as a beekeeper opens a live hive. If you're feeling brave, dress up in a bee suit and help open a live hive.Make bee bombs to promote bee friendly wild flowers. See how beekeepers extract the honey you eat, sample honey related drinks.
