The Grand

Welcome to The Grand, a venue steeped in history within a Grade II listed building, South Western House. The building played host to many distinguished guests such as Winston Churchill, Dwight Eisenhower during the Second World War, Queen Elizabeth & the Queen Mother. Once Southampton’s grandest hotel, it was also used by first-class passengers of the Titanic, history dates back to 1865.

With its glittering décor and a storied history, The Grand & Rubys have been home to legendary private parties & live events for over a century. To this day, The Grand is still the home to some of the largest & luxurious events within the city centre.

The Grand & Rubys is also exclusively a space for private events. Whether you’re planning a conference for 350 guests or a glamorous, intimate wedding day in the city, The Grand is perfect for any occasion.
