Handsfacespacefreshair

It is recognised that as an event organiser there have been additional pressures on you during the Covid-19 pandemic in ensuring your event is safe for visitors and staff.

Extra measures are still likely to be needed at your event to help reduce and prevent the spread of infection.

Limited funding is available which is designed to help support you in providing additional measures as identified in your risk assessment to create a safer environment.
This funding is available for outdoor public events taking place between 1 April 2022 and 30 September 2022.

Eligibility for funding

Organisers of free outdoor public events scheduled to take place in the city between 1 April 2022 and 30 September 2022 are eligible to apply for funding.

Organisers of commercial outdoor public events scheduled to take place in the city between 1 April 2022 and 30 September 2022 are eligible to apply for funding but this will be limited to a maximum of 25 per cent* of the costs provided that they can demonstrate that:

Adding a Covid-19 safety supplement to the cost of admission would potentially make the event too expensive for a Southampton resident to attend.

The primary aim of the event is to promote health and wellbeing, environmental sustainability, or to foster inclusion (for example, cultural diversity, child focused etc)
