Red Balloon Music celebrates our 8th Birthday with an amazing end-of-year joint-headline show!

We are incredibly proud to present the return of the amazing Roxanne de Bastion - performing her 2017 album 'Heirlooms & Hearsay' with a full live band - in the intimate surroundings of Gullivers in Manchester!

This has only ever been performed once before - in front of a sold-out crowd at Kings Place in London back in February - so is a rare chance to hear this album in it's entirety!

We are also extremely excited to announce the welcome return of KATIE MAC - performing with a full live band!

With two headline acts of this calibre, this show is sure to sell quickly - don't miss out!

Support comes from THOM MORECROFT.

ROXANNE DE BASTION:
http://www.roxannedebastion.com

Roxanne de Bastion writes emotive, incisive alt-pop and charms audiences with what BBC6 producer Tom Whalley described as 'one of the most perfect voices [he's] ever heard'.

Her debut album Heirlooms & Hearsay is a bold autobiographical concept album which was championed by the likes of Janice Long, Chris Hawkins, Gary Crowley and Tom Robinson.

Since its release, Roxanne has toured extensively across the UK and North America, opening for the Wainwright Sisters, Thea Gilmore and Lambchop, as well as performing at Glastonbury on the legendary Acoustic Stage and Stage 2 at Cambridge Folk Festival.

Roxanne is at the forefront of a new wave of artists breaking with tradition to forge exciting independent careers. As such, Roxanne was invited to join the FAC (Featured Artist Coalition), where she sits on the Board of Directors alongside Imogen Heap, Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, Katie Melua and Dave Rowntree of Blur. Roxanne also created a music conference specifically from and for artists called FM2U, which aims to empower & educate artists as well as create a strong community of artist entrepreneurs.

Heirlooms & Hearsay is a beautiful masterpiece! She truly is a rising star - If you get a chance to see her live, please do!" (Janice Long, BBC Wales)

Katie Mac is a singer-songwriter from Huyton, Liverpool.

Taking influence from Laura Marling, Joni Mitchell and Regina Spektor, she has also been compared to the likes of Patti Smith, PJ Harvey and Kate Bush.

Katie took her music to the next level by adding five band members to her solo act, and self-organising two full UK tours in 2016/2017.

She has found great support off Dave Monks of BBC Introducing in Merseyside, and has been opened up towards a national audience with the help of BBC Radio 6 Music.

THOM MORECROFT:

Played on BBC 6 Music by Tom Robinson and described by ex-editor of NME, Q, Mojo and Word Paul Du Noyer as cheering and addictive, Thom Morecroft is a British singer-songwriter from Shropshire, living in Liverpool.

Born in Shrewsbury in the early 1990s and moving away to Liverpool where he was a student in the early 2010s, he became part of a vital, healthily populated scene of acoustic singer-songwriters in the north-west. He developed an idiosyncratic live performance and a distinctive vocal style.

Thom has opened for the likes of Robert Vincent, Roxanne de Bastion, Beans on Toast and Will Varley and toured his EP and single releases in the UK and Germany. Last year, he started work on a new album at Elevator Recording Studios in Liverpool with engineer/mixer Tom Roach and producer James Thorne. The album is in the finishing stages of production, and will be released on December 6th.
