Online history talk. Southampton's remarkable history includes times of warfare and the threat of invasion. One of those times was the so-called Second Hundred Years War, a long period of on-off warfare from the end of the seventeenth to the beginning of the nineteenth centuries. But what part did Southampton and its citizens play in this conflict? Join historian Andy Skinner in unearthing stories of prisoners of war, smuggling and inventors.
