Hands-On Humanities Day is a free one-day event organised by the University of Southampton Public Engagement with Research unit and it is part of Human Worlds Festival. For the first time, the event will move to the Southampton Cultural Quarter in Above Bar Street. The John Hansard Gallery, City Eye, Nuffield Southampton Theatres City (NST City) and Solent Showcase will become a hive of exploration with hands-on activities, workshops, talks and art installations suitable for all ages, including the keynote exhibit 'Waves and Forms' by international renowned artist and Winchester School of Art alumnus, Haroon Mirza, at the John Hansard Gallery.

This event is part of the Being Human festival, the UK’s only national festival of the humanities, taking place 14–23 November. For further information please see beinghumanfestival.org
