Waterstones , West Quay Shopping Centre

As part of our 'Conversations in the Cafe' series of events, we are delighted to host an evening with local authors Claire Gradidge and Frances Liardet, both of whom are currently taking the publishing world by storm.

Claire's book 'The Unexpected Return of Josephine Fox' is the winner of the Richard and Judy Search for a Bestseller competition. Set in Romsey during World War II, it is a deliciously dark crime mystery, brimming with family secrets and is perfect for fans of Sunday night drama.

Frances' book, 'We Must Be Brave' was a bestseller in hardback and has been described by the Guardian as "an absolute success, richly observed, lovingly drawn and determinedly clear-eyed to the last." Also set in Southampton during World War II, 'We Must be Brave' explores the fierce love we feel for our children and the astonishing power of that love to endure.

No tickets are required but spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. This can be done by emailing us on events.southampton@waterstones.com or speaking to one of our booksellers.
