Earlier in the year, we took a look at some of the new businesses opening their doors in Southampton. Since then, more businesses have started up in and around our city, providing yet more great opportunities for shopping, eating out and more.

Fancy a change from your usual favourites? We’ve got some hot new places to eat now open and coming soon.
Number 3 is a fantastic place to dine and dance the night away in Bedford Place. The venue also has a dedicated space for afternoon tea and meeting rooms that you can hire for business breakfasts.
In close proximity to the Mayflower Theatre, and just a short stroll from the Cultural Quarter, Papillon is a restaurant, bar and event space. Papillon officially opens its doors on Friday 8 October and bookings are now open.
If you fancy some Mediterranean cuisine then book your place at Artsy Lounge, on East Street. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also specialises in a wide range of cocktails.
Located on the High Street, Bistro Baristo is a new coffee shop and mini bar. Its current opening hours are Monday-Friday, 8.30am-7pm and Saturday 9am-8pm. From your traditional breakfasts to some tasty lunch choices, there’s plenty of choice available.
Opt for a healthy dessert, or simply a tasty treat with lashings of sprinkles by popping along to YoGoo! in Westquay Shopping Centre. You’ll find all kinds of tempting frozen yoghurt flavours to try.
On London Road, you’ll find Willis Café, a newly opened café that specialises in breakfast, sandwiches and hot boxes. Ideal if you work nearby and want a quick takeaway or for a quick bite to eat.
Last but by no means least, Ocean Village is now home to new restaurant. Ocean Grill House. From Wagyu steaks to fish as well as daily specials prepared at your table, you’ll be wowed by the food and the dining experience.
In our previous blog, we mentioned a couple of big names coming to Southampton – Hamleys toy shop and Flannels clothing shop. Hamleys is now open to shop until your heart’s content in Westquay Shopping Centre and Flannels is opening soon.
Now also open in Westquay is Montezumas chocolate shop – with dark, milk and white chocolates in a whole host of flavours. Talk about tempting!
What's more, when you are in Westquay be sure to check out the High Score Arcade Pop Up and try your hand at various retro arcade games!
If you are looking to plan a getaway soon, Tui has a wealth of holiday options available for you. Find them in their new travel shop on Above Bar Street, having relocated from Westquay Retail Park.
