1. Active Warrior Santa Dash - Outdoor Sports Centre
Head to the Outdoor Sports Centre on the 8th December for a fun, family-filled morning (10am-1pm) for the Active Warrior Santa Dash. The Christmas themed event takes place over a 3km course where you can run, jog or walk along with friends or family dressed as Santa. The event is suitable from age four with parent/guardian assistants. The obstacles are Christmas themed and include a sledge pull, a chimney climb and even a present sack carry plus more challenges which will be announced nearer the event

2. Magic of Christmas Trees - October Books
October Books in Portswood will be holding a fun children’s event on 14th December full of Christmas crafting, stories and songs to celebrate the magic of Christmas trees. The event will be taking place from 3.30pm for two hours and all crafting supplies will be supplied.

3. Dear Santa - Nuffield Theatre Campus
From the creator of Dear Zoo, Dear Santa is a perfectly magical way to celebrate Christmas with your little ones. The theatre production is ideal for those aged 2 to 7 and they’ll also get to meet Santa after the show and receive a present. Running time is 55 minutes and you can purchase tickets via the Nuffield Theatre website here.
4. Christmas at Paultons - Paultons Park
Paultons Park always put on a spectacular display at Christmas and with so much to see and do this year, it’s the perfect time to visit. You can meet Santa at his magical Grotto, visit Peppa Pig World while it’s positively brimming with festivities and visit the incredible musical Christmas tree which performs a light show every fifteen minutes. Show street will also be transformed into Snow Street during the winter season.

5. Peter Pan Pantomime - Mayflower Theatre
Peter Pan lands at Mayflower Theatre this December for lots of swashbuckling fun. The high flying pantomime adventure features Marti Pellow, Darren Day, Jaymi Hensley and the Grumbleweeds. It’s sure to be a sell-out so get ready to sail to Neverland!

6. Breakfast with Santa - Evelyn’s Tea House
Enjoy breakfast with Santa at Evelyn’s Tea House on 22nd December. Places are limited so you will need to pre-book but it’s set to be a magical morning with a delicious breakfast and a little one on one time with the main man. Each child will also receive a small gift.

7. Christmas on the Farm - Manor Farm
At the weekends during December, you’ll be able to take part in a whole host of activities at Manor Farm including Elf Training School, The 12 Days of Christmas Trail and Christmas crafts. There will also be a special visitor on certain dates in December. More information can be found on the event page on Facebook.

8. Christmas Carols - River Hamble Country Park
Spend a festive evening at River Hamble Country Park on 19th December for carols around the Christmas tree. The Hamble Valley Brass and Father Christmas will be the stars of the evening and there will be plenty of hot drinks and mince pies too! Be sure to wrap up warm and take a torch with you, it would be the perfect Christmassy evening with children.
